synergy founders.
Chris & Barbara Taylor founded Synergy Business Services in 2006 after successfully selling their own business (a small but booming chain of drive-thru espresso stores). It wasn’t their first successfull sale of a home-grown business, but it proved to be a turning point nonetheless. The challenges of that transaction experience, and the lessons learned from their sellers’ perspective, helped fuel the Synergy vision.
Drawing from a wealth of first-hand experience between them – including business development and brand management responsibilities at a fortune 500 company, Chris and Barbara founded what is today Synergy – a boutique M&A firm that emphasizes simple awareness & planning as a means to selling a business for maximum value.
The Taylor’s entrepreneurial history includes the successful sale of no less than four businesses representing an equal number of industries. Their experiences at Synergy, coupled with Barbara’s national perspective as a regular contributor to the New York Times, have afforded the Taylor’s a rare, highly-effective skill set. Despite sustained success, Chris and Barbara are determined to remain a boutique firm – positioning Synergy as a small, yet highly-capable facilitator of small business success.
