Real Estate and Securities Policy
Synergy Business Services, LLC is not a real estate company. We are a full service business brokerage firm offering transaction advisory services to clients in the transfer of 100% ownership of the assets of their business. We are not real estate agents, although many brokers in our industry do hold real estate licenses. We do not sell, market or get compensated on the sale of real property. If business real estate is included as part of the change of ownership, the real estate will be treated in the same manner as any other asset of the business that transfers with ownership, including but not limited to inventory, furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), intellectual property, goodwill, contracts, client lists and any other tangible and/or intangible assets that comprise the total value of the business.
In addition to engaging the services of Synergy Business Services, we strongly recommend that all of our clients employ the services of both a Certified Public Accountant and an attorney to review all documents and financial statements, and assist in the successful completion of a transaction. All of Synergy Business Services’ closings are handled by a qualified title company.
Likewise, Synergy Business Services does not sell stock, securities or other equity stakes in a business. We assist with the transfer of 100% ownership, regardless of whether an acquisition is structured as an Asset or Stock Purchase. The following changes of ownership are not represented by Synergy Business Services:
- a non-owner who is purchasing a portion of the ownership of the business from a selling owner
- an existing owner who is purchasing the ownership of another existing owner that will not result in the 100% ownership of the purchaser.
